Town Hall We will be holding the first town hall for legislative session 2025 during the first hour of the evening, from 6 – 7pm. Special guest Senator Loki Tobin will be present and will provide an educational update.

Annual Membership Meeting Our Annual Membership Meeting will take place during the second half of the evening, from 7 – 8pm. We are seeking nominations for PA of the year, which will be awarded that night. And you also have the opportunity to offer nominations for a few openings on the board. Elections will take place during the meeting.

PA of the Year Nominate your colleague. This gives us the chance to honor a fellow member who has demonstrated excellence in their service to our Alaskan community and representation of the PA profession.

Open Board Member Positions Become an AKAPA Board member. If you would like to contribute to your community, we would love to have you.

President Elect: This is a three-year commitment. The first year is as President Elect, the second year is as President and the third year is as Past President. The President Elect is board liaison to the membership committee and organizes and conducts the annual elections. Term expires December 31, 2027.

Two (2) Two Year Directors at Large: The Directors at Large are liaisons to the scholarship committee and continuing medical education committee. There are two, Two Year Director at Large positions open for nomination. Term expires December 31, 2026.

Two (2) Jr. House of Delegates: This is a two-year commitment. The first year is as Jr. House of Delegates representative and the second year is as the Sr. House of Delegates representative. Term expires December 31, 2026. This position requires travel to the AAPA House of Delegates meeting in Denver, CO approximately May 17 – 21, 2025.
